Our Story

Our mutual friend, Taylor Stevens, introduced us at a party in 2021.

Later that year, we reconnected when Kastine returned to Corvallis for her senior year. Chris had graduated and was working as an engineer on a project on campus. Right from the start, we loved how naturally we kept pace and complimented one another.

One of our favorite early memories was our first flight together; even for winter, the skies were beautiful and clear that Valentine’s Day along the Oregon Coast, yet it was also one of the most turbulent flights we’ve experienced to date. We originally planned to land in Manzanita, but ended up diverting to Tillamook. We spent the day cruising the coastline in the airport courtesy (rental) car; a retired patrol car that had been '“ridden hard and put away wet”. That weekend stands out as the first time we both felt we deeply understood and loved one another.

Not long after that, Chris relocated to Arizona for work, and the next six months were filled with trips for each of us between Arizona and Oregon/Washington until Kastine’s move to Los Angeles.

After Kastine moved, the distance was shorter, and we made the most of the next couple of years between Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and California. Most of that time we spent on weekend trips and doing what we love; camping, hiking, flying, and finding new places to eat!

We finally ended up together in Santa Monica, and a year later got engaged in Laguna Beach. Chris planned a magical surprise weekend in our favorite town in Southern California, and proposed on the beach at sunset. Shortly thereafter we moved to our new LA address (from which you received your invitation), and we’d love to host you sometime soon!
